Just a public service announcement:
If anyone EVER tells you that home buying is fun ... They are not telling you the truth. It's a big. Fat. Lie. This is one of the most stressful things you and your loved ones will ever do.
The Husband and I are two weeks from closing and there is SO much to do, and SO little time. I just wanted to share that little PSA.
This is my blog, about the world, and obviously how I see it. I have different views of how things go, and how things happen in my life. Feel free to read and comment.

Mountain of mortgage paperwork
The mountain of paperwork my dining room table is under as The Husband and I get approved for a home loan is slightly overwhelming this morning. We have bank statements, W-2s, addendums, documents, file folders and retirement statements.
It took four months for us to find a house worth putting an offer on, nearly a week of negotiating with the owners to come to an agreed price, and a weekend to muddle through the paperwork sent to us by the mortgage company. This morning, we spent two hours gathering the appropriate documents, signing the paperwork and putting it into different piles. I'll take it down to the FedEx today and ship it off to our selected mortgage company.
Hopefully, we'll hear back from the current homeowners today on whether or not they will go through with our requested repairs. I really hope so, as we love this home.
